My name is Diogo, I'm a designer.

About me

I help people and companies to understand and overcome their challenges creating awesome experiences to digital products and services.

In more than 15 years working across different areas as branding, advertising, UX/UI, product and service design, I created businesses, physical and digital products for small business, big corps, startups and crypto projects from 13 different countries.

I'm currently strategy leader and partner at Contra.cc, a decentralized ecossytem that provides product, design and communication services for clients around the world, and co-founder of startupkit.cc, a scalable and descentralized product team working to create, launch and grow tech products.

My background experience range from creative design, as branding and advertising, to strategy, as UX, service and product design.

I'm a crypto enthusiast, a TEDx speaker and member of Interaction Design Association - IXDA.

FarmaJá App Redesign

  • Client: FarmaJá app, a marketplace for drugstores.
  • Year: 2019
  • Role: Product strategist and designer

I was invited by FarmaJá to improve the product.

The project had 3 steps: Value proposition and atributes definition, communicartion materials for partners and investors (pitch deck), and product design (ux/ui).

For the interface redesign our focus was on the eldery users, that natualy take more medicines and have less mobility, therefore they are an important user group. Limited vision and less tech skills were attriction to be reduced.

Simplifying, using just black to the content and light colors to background and components, avoiding messy interface, using red only on focus points to get atention, bigger fonts and touch areas, were some improvments on the UI.

For users, an easy way to find and buy cheaper medicines. For drugstores, a tool to grow their sales on a pandemic world, where is necessary stay at home.

Emurgo / Cardano website

At Startupkit we helped Emurgo, one of the three organizations developing Cardano, responsible for fostering commercial applications being built upon the Cardano ecosystem, based in Hong Kong, to translate the complex technology behind blockchain in an effective communication on the web.

Cartesi

Since 2018 we, at Startup Kit, are helping Cartesi, a blockchain project based in China, to overcome the problems of scalability, of computation, and infrastructure for blockchain applications.

Opslock website

Opslock, a startup based in Austin - USA, developed a complete industrial risk management platform and hired us, at Startupkit, to translate all the complexity about their product into a website with a clear communication for clients and investors.

Being a solution to offshore construction industry, we used the concept of diving exploration to overcome the challenge of explain the features for different stakeholders, literaly, diving deep in the product.

DeFi (crypto) projects

  • Year: 2021
  • Role: design lead
  • Team: Startup Kit

With the explosion of DeFi I had the possibility to work with some projects, learning and contributing for this market growth.

For IPOR, a DeFi project based in Zug, Switzerland, as a design lead I created the landing page and, leading a team with 3 designers, we create animations, pitch deck and a social media pack.

For DGame, a a blockchain game index, I worked on the logo, visual concept and landing page.

OnPay branding

  • Client: OnPay
  • Year: 2019
  • Role: Brand designer

OnPay is a brazilian fintech that provides online payment services for small business with low fees.

I translated this into a visual concept that shows that you can turn off the high fees and turn on a service without unspected fees.

I developed a new brand font for the project, the OnType, that is used in the logotype and in aestetic compositions.
